The Tool that Finds the Perfect Sales Methodology for Your GTM Strategy

Like many people I want to learn more about artificial intelligence (AI). This post is part of a series where I experiment with AI tools, share what I build and learn. My hope is that these posts will create discussion around this transformational technology, its use cases and maybe even help others on their journey of AI discovery. 

The focus of this experiment was to use AI tools to create a sales methodology selector tool - you simply answer a few questions, and the tool makes a recommendation from a selection of 50 methodologies. I used ChatGPT and Lovable to create the app, and it can be seen below (you can also view it on Lovable).

The Brief

To help sales leaders navigate the complex world of frameworks and selling styles, I created an AI-powered Sales Methodology Selector - a sleek, interactive tool that recommends the best approach based on business model, industry, deal size, and sales cycle. I used ChatGPT to research, evaluate, and summarize 50 of the most widely used sales methodologies, then used Lovable to transform that research into a responsive, user-friendly app.

I began by prompting ChatGPT to generate a comprehensive list of 50 sales methodologies, including classics like SPIN Selling, MEDDPICC, Challenger, and Sandler, as well as lesser-known frameworks tailored for enterprise, SaaS, and transactional selling. For each method, ChatGPT helped synthesize key details - what it is, how it works, its core strengths and weaknesses, and when it’s best applied. This gave me a structured knowledge base to work from.

Next, I used Lovable to turn that research into a practical tool. I described the concept in natural language: “Build an app that lets users answer a few questions (industry, ACV, sales cycle length, sales motion), then recommends 2–3 sales methodologies with summaries and pros/cons.” Lovable instantly generated the UI, logic, and flow - no coding required. I refined the UX, added filtering logic, and launched it within an hour.

The result is a clean, intuitive selector tool that helps reps and leaders quickly identify the right methodology for their business - all made possible through AI and no-code tech.
