The AI Sales Email Grader That Helps You Write to Win

Like many people I want to learn more about artificial intelligence (AI). This post is part of a series where I experiment with AI tools, share what I build and learn. My hope is that these posts will create discussion around this transformational technology, its use cases and maybe even help others on their journey of AI discovery. 

The focus of this experiment was to use AI tools to create a sales email grader - you write a sales email and and within seconds the tool uses 50+ sales methdologies to grade the email and provide recommendations. I used ChatGPT and Lovable to create the app, and it can be seen below (you can also view it on Lovable).

The Brief

To help sales teams write more effective outreach, I built a powerful AI-driven Sales Email Grader that evaluates messages and offers personalized recommendations based on 50+ proven sales methodologies. The project combined ChatGPT’s research capabilities with Lovable’s intuitive no-code app builder to deliver a tool that’s fast, insightful, and scalable.

I began by using ChatGPT to research over 50 sales methodologies - from Challenger, MEDDPICC, and SPIN Selling to Sandler, GAP Selling, and more niche frameworks. For each method, I documented key principles, target personas, tone guidance, and message structure. This created a rich, structured database of best practices that could be applied dynamically to different sales scenarios.

Next, I used Lovable to build a clean, responsive application that allows users to paste in any sales email and receive a grade, along with actionable suggestions to improve it. The app evaluates each message for clarity, personalization, value articulation, and CTA strength, and then maps those elements to matching methodology principles. For example, an overly product-heavy email might trigger a recommendation based on the Value Selling framework, while a message lacking urgency might receive Challenger-style advice.

The result is a smart, real-time email coach that doesn’t just critique, it teaches. It’s a practical example of how AI and no-code tools can bring decades of sales wisdom into everyday workflows, helping reps write more compelling emails and close more deals. All in minutes, without needing to be a sales methodology expert.
